Janet rewound the tape of Sam's debriefing.

She rewound it again.

"At that point, Wodan telepathically lifted Nirrti and snapped her neck..."

She sat in her office, mentally picturing the moment Nirrti had been murdered by one of her failed experiments. Murdered by an advancement she'd given to him. She'd armed him and he had turned the gun on her. Nirrti was dead. Janet only wished she'd been the one holding the weapon.

She rewound the tape again.
