Hammond frowned. "I... don't understand, Doctor."

Janet sheepishly looked over the General's shoulder, where the airmen were dismantling the briefing room table. "You see, Sir," she said nervously, "It's just that we're getting a new one anyway. And this one will just be thrown out."

"What do you need with a table of that size in your house?" he asked.

"Oh, it's not that, Sir. I don't need it. I'd just like to have it."

"Whatever for?"

Janet blushed and shrugged. "Lots of good memories were made on-- ahh, at that table, Sir."

Hammond arched an eyebrow and looked at the table in a new light.
