Paris Gellar was in a mood that wasn't her usual one.

Usually the bookish girl would be pondering the intricacies of Nietsche, or wallowing in Dostoevsky's perpetual pain. Normally the blond ice virgin would be turning over Cramer's Rule from advanced algebra or the Pythagorean Theory in her mind, or fretting over parabolas formulas and matrices and determinants.

But tonight the lovely Paris was deeply smitten as she gazed deeply in secret delight at someone who was definitely the most stunningly beautiful creature that the subdued blond beauty had ever seen in her entire study laden seventeen years.

Paris sighed audibly as she held her delicate hands to her soft bosom, as her dark eyes visually caressed a perfectly chiseled Celtic profile trapped between sculpted cheeks all covered by a creamy paleness that poured over into utter unblemished perfection topped with full cherry lips now pursed in frustration as their owner furrowed her milky brow, knotting her finely arched delicate raven brows.

"This stinks!" A gentle voice managed to almost growl as the girl sitting at the other end of the small bedroom before a desk looked up from her books and scattered papers at Paris who sat on a large bed they both shared that stood up against the corner at the other side of the room.

Paris trembled intimately as she nervously threaded her slender digits through strands of her long, straight dark blond hair. "4x + 3z - 2y equals the absolute value of 3 which should be greater than zero..."

Cold sky blue eyes looked up in wonder when her audible complaint went unanswered, "Paris?"

"What?"

"Are you alright? You haven't said a word all night."

"I'm just fine Gilmore," the slender blond replied acidly as she scowled at her companion, and seemed to recover somewhat from the spell that presently held her captive.

That heavenly visage, an oval face framed by wild wavy brown hair that seemed to turn to a deep honey gold when sunlight shone upon it now smiled as ruby lips curled into an obvious adorable smirk that held poor Paris captive, "yeah. You most definitely are fine. Sour as always."

Paris blushed intensely as she looked away from the piercing sapphire stare that seemed to bore directly into her soul only to leave her naked flesh bared for all the world to see, "stop staring at me Gilmore!" Paris was putting up a desperate fight to save her dignity, her precious sanity, "oh haha...your quaint small town sweetness overwhelms me."

"But I am right. Aren't I?"

"Stop bothering me Gilmore. Okay?" Paris was exasperated. "Okay. Alright. I. Am. Not. Fine. There. I admitted it. Are you happy now?"

"Yes indeed. Loveable as an angry porcupine in full battle stance," came the sweet gentle monotone, slightly teasing within thus wrenching a small moan from Paris who watched her precious girl push back her chair and stand up, "we've been here three entire days into our month long internship here in Washington, and you haven't done a stitch of homework Gellar. You're usually the one obsessed with keeping your assignments current. What's going on?"

Paris swallowed hard, audibly as she tried to get sparse saliva from her dry mouth past the aching knot in her throat while she felt delicious tingles rise up into her tender breasts as she shamefully felt her nipples harden to almost rock hard consistency, "Don't pry Rory!" the girl managed to blurt as her dark brown eyes contemplated the sensual vision before her.

Rory Gilmore was tall and voluptuous. She had endlessly long shapely legs, and a round firm butt that Paris was dying to get her hands on. Rory had pale slender arms with small delicate hands. Rory seemed to have the smallest waist in the world that poor Paris wanted to measure by wrapping her arms around it. Rory had small round full breasts that Paris wanted to touch so badly that she was slowly going mad. Rory smelled like Chanel no. 5, her dark hair smelled like raspberry shampoo, her skin smelled like Dove soap, and her natural scent was a light musk that Paris had already secretly memorized. Now all of Rory Gilmore's smells and scents and comprised her warm soft presence wafted up to Paris' nose like an aggressive army invading her psyche and making her visibly drunk. "Stay away from me Gilmore!" Paris warned amid a threatening growl when she saw Rory reach out to her with a gesture that the blond interpreted as pity as a hand aimed at her chin, "I don't need or want your pity!"

Rory paused then pulled back her hand at the harshness in the other girl's voice, "I only meant to see if you had a fever Gellar. Its not pity. Its called friendship." Rory let an exasperated sigh escape her lips, "work it out yourself!" Then the gorgeous brunette turned around and stood by her desk as she gathered her pile of papers and shoved them into her math book.

Paris watched numbly until Rory's actions set off an alarm within her heart, "what are you doing?"

"Giving you space," Rory said quietly as she grabbed her purse and hung its strap from her shoulder with one arm and balanced her math book with the other, "there must be a library around here somewhere."

"Please Rory don't go!" Paris said with desperation seeping into her voice as she stood up from the queen size bed she shared with her secret love, and held her hands out to stop the departing girl.

Rory paused as her hand touched the knob of the door of the room she shared with Paris, "you're nothing but jagged edges all the time. I don't get you Gellar."

"I'm so sorry Rory!" Paris cried out as she trembled with deep panic.

"Same old news Paris. You're so hot and cold all the time that I've just given up on trying to figure you out. I'm getting out of your way so you can brood to hell! You can take it out on a chair!"

"Please...Rory," Paris took a few steps toward her reluctant roommate, "I'm sorry," the girl's face was deathly pale as her cheeks glimmered with the silvery wisps of trailed tears.

"Paris," Rory said softly with concern as she stepped back from the door, depositing her purse and book upon her desk once more, "what is it?" The brunette felt a panic ridden concern for a friend she knew rarely cried.

Paris was wringing her hands and staring at Rory fearfully, "I don't know how to say this...but I must!"

"Just say it."

"I can't just blurt it out Rory. I'm so ashamed," then Paris looked down as a small whimper escaped from her pink lips.

Rory softened, "I know what. I'll close my eyes then you can tell me. Will that help?"

"A bit," Paris replied hesitantly with a small smile now completed enchanted by the other girl's epiphany.

Rory said no more and simply closed her beautiful eyes as she stood watching Paris, waiting for the blond to reveal the reason for her discomfort.

Silence ensued for several seconds as Paris felt a deep sadness at the disappearance of Rory's cerulean gaze, and now a deep wave of nausea threatened to engulf her.

"Well?" Rory's voice echoed in the settling silence.

In a sudden act of desperation Paris dimmed the lights of the room and turned on her CD player that she kept on her side of the bed. The blond girl's nimble fingers pushed on one of the dials and the volume went up as a mournful beautiful voice rang out a soulful tune that sang Paris' secret to an unsuspecting Rory.

Rory couldn't resist the temptation to open her eyes as the song confounded her. Her eyes fell upon a pair of soulful dark eyes with a shy smile and an outstretched hand in her direction. "Will you dance with me Gilmore?"

Rory felt a wave of affection flood her heart for the apparent blush on Paris' cheeks which further endeared the difficult girl to her. "Of course Paris," Rory replied with a soft smile alighting her features.

The velvet warmth of Rory's soft hand as it touched her own flooded poor Paris with a wave of desire and adoration as she struggled to get into the correct position to dance, "I'm not very good at this," she croaked.

"But you still want to lead," came Rory's amused reply.

"Well I did ask so I should," Paris retorted with a bit of confidence and a small smirk.

"Yes I suppose so," Rory said teasingly as she guided Paris's clammy hand to her waist and then put her own on the nervous blond's shoulder.

Both girls stared intensely into each other's eyes as their free hands came up and their fingers entwined slowly warmly.

The deep rich voice coming from the CD player seemed to surround the girls like a blanket as they began to sway slowly to the tune they followed.

"This is so awkward," Rory whispered as Paris moved closer to her.

"Yeah," Paris said quietly.

"Interesting choice for a singer, Par. I didn't know you liked Elvis Presley."

"Just old hat, Ror. I like a smattering of everything."

"The universal Paris Gellar of course."

"Gilmore?"

"Yeah?" "Um...well I can't exactly tell you what's bothering me."

"So?"

"I want to show instead."

"Go ahead Gellar."

Paris sighed romantically as she let go of Rory's hands and wrapped her arms around her brunette's waist while a new song blazed from the CD player and burned a deep path into her psyche.

Paris slowly drew Rory close with her arms so as not to frighten or offend the girl. Even though her own heart beat madly and her body tingled with joyous pleasure, Paris still had to be careful with her girl because she had no idea how Rory would react to her passion. So for several moments as the song played on Paris blissfully gently guided Rory in the soft rhythm of their joined bodies.

A new song began as the old one ended. A new voice rose where the old ones crashed like a burning phoenix to emerge as a steady piano tune to accompany the angelic that rang out to echo the delicious ache in the blond girl's heart for her dark beauty Rory.

"Rory," Paris whispered as she drew back from her companion to look longingly into her girl's sapphire eyes. Then the shy blond leaned in then tilted her head up (for Rory was slightly taller than Paris) and gently kissed her girl's full soft lips with her own.

Paris moaned with desire for Rory's mouth was the softer than anything that she had ever felt so that brought up her trembling hands to hold the girl's head while she kissed her in a frenzy. Paris was drowning in her desire as she kissed Rory when she felt the girl stir then gently push her away. "Oh no," Paris said to herself as she shamefully looked away from Rory.

"Paris?" came the velvety soft whisper in the darkened room, the voice filled with confusion and wonder. "I love you," came the passionate aching reply in a teary trembling voice, "I adore you Rory."

Even as the music flowed around them the girls stood in complete silence. Paris stood trembling, vulnerable with her heart in her hands waiting to be slapped or reprimanded or rejected. Rory stood speechless unsure of what to say or do.

Paris wanted to die of shame as thick tears ran from her eyes as she waited for the only reason she had to live to end. Rory Gilmore had become her entire life and now it would all be gone forever.

Then it came. A gentle touch of fingers pressing under her chin making Paris look up into an unexpected smouldering cerulean gaze followed by a husky voice that would forever change her life.

"I'm still waiting for you to show me, Paris."

Paris felt an unmeasurable delight and a bigger than life smile graced her pretty features. "Of course, Gilmore," Paris replied softly as she leaned in to kiss Rory again, "I have a lifetime for that."

The CD player kept playing smoky sad romantic songs as Paris drove Rory to new heights of ecstacy.

In Between... by Balticbard

In between the days
comes a weary song
of despair...
hidden in the ways
of a lonely soul's
silent prayer.

In between words
rest secret wounds
that fester
never to be healed
but still to deeply
pester.

In between the dreams
where night lingers
in shades
causing worry
to a tired mind
that never fades.

In between lies hope
like a growing wave
that quivers
extending like a rope
over a wild rising
river.

In between finds love
gently touching
my heart
like a gentle dove
making all pain
depart.

The in-between is you
holding back the tide
of sadness,
your love cuts through
saving me from hell
and madness.

List of songs on the Paris' CD

Fools Rush in by Elvis Presley

Fools rush in, where angels fear to tread
And so I come to you my love
My heart above my head
Though I see the danger there
If there's a chance for me
Then I don't care, oh-oh-oh-oh

Fools rush in, where wise men never go
But wise men never fall in love
So how are they to know
When we met, I felt my life begin
So open up your heart and let
This fool rush in

And I don't care, oh-oh-oh-oh

Fools rush in, where wise men never go
But wise men never fall in love
So how are they to know
When we met, I felt my life begin
So open up your heart and let
This fool rush in

So open up your heart and let
This fool rush in

So open up your heart and let
This fool rush in

So open up your heart and let
This fool rush in

Words of Love by the Beatles

Hold me close and tell me how you feel
Tell me love is real
Words of love you whisper soft and true
Darling I love you

Let me hear you say the words I long to hear
Darling when you're near
Words of love you whisper soft and true
Darling I love you

Some Say Love by Bette Midler the Divine One

Some say love, It is a river,
That drowns the tender ring,
Some say love, It is a razor,
That leads your sould to bleed,
Some say love, It is a hunger,
And endless aching need,
I say love, It is a flower,
And you its only seen,

It's the heart, Afraid of breaking,
That never, Learns to dance,
It's the dream, Afraid of waking,
That never, Takes the chance,
It's the one, Who won't be taken,
Who cannot seem to be,
And the soul, Afraid of dying,
That never, Learns to live,

And the night, Has been too lonely,
And the rode, Has been too long,
And you feel, That road is only,
For the lucky, And the strong,
Just remember, In the winter,
Far beneath, The bitter snow,
Lies a seed, That with the suns love,
In the spring, Becomes a rose

I Will by the Beatles

Who knows how long I've loved you
You know I love you still
Will I wait a lonely lifetime
If you want me to--I will.

For if I ever saw you
I didn't catch your name
But it never really mattered
I will always feel the same.

Love you forever and forever
Love you with all my heart
Love you whenever we're together
Love you when we're apart.

And when at last I find you
Your song will fill the air
Sing it loud so I can hear you
Make it easy to be near you
For the things you do endear you to me
You know I will
I will.

Devoted to You by Carly Simon and James Taylor

Darling you can count on me
Till the sun dries up the sea
Until then I'll always be
Devoted to you

I'll be yours through endless time
I'll adore your charms sublime
Guess by now you know that I'm
Devoted to you

I'll never hurt you
I'll never lie
I'll never be untrue
I'll never give you reason to cry
I'd be unhappy if you were blue

Through the years my love will grow
Like a river it will flow
It can't die because I'm so
Devoted to you

I'll never hurt you
I'll never lie
I'll never be untrue
I'll never give you reason to cry
I'd be unhappy if you were blue

Through the years my love will grow
Like a river it will flow
It can't die because I'm so
Devoted to you

So this is love by The Castells

So this is love...real love
And it's like Paradise..oh yes
Really a paradise...
For you and for me...

So this is love..real love..
And it's so wonderful.. oh yes..
Even more wonderful..
Than I thought it could be...

Not long ago I didn't know..
What this thing called love was about..
Now that you're here, now that you're near..
Each beat of my heart cries out, so...

this is love...real love
And it's so heavenly...oh yes.
It's very plain to see
We're really in love.

MUSICAL INTERLUDE

Oh yes, so this is love...
Oh yes, so this is love....

Like Lovers Do by Heather Nova

There is a paradise that can be found
A better life to bring us round
And all we really need to do
Is see the world like lovers do

I want to take it easy, take it slow
To catch a fire and let it go
I want to give myself to you
So we can live like lovers do

Like lovers do, I want to feel that way
Like lovers do, they lose themselves for days
And I need to feel that way

I can hear you thinking what I feel
I know that what we've got is real
And all we need to get us through
Is just to live like lovers do

Like lovers do, I want to feel that way
Like lovers do, they lose themselves for days
And I need to feel, I need to feel that way
Give me strength to give myself to you
Like lovers, lovers do
