You were not supposed to hug her.

She was not supposed to sigh.

You were not supposed to draw her closer.

She was not supposed to sink into your embrace.

You were not supposed to kiss her on the cheek.

She was not supposed to turn so that her lips met yours.

Nor were you supposed to allow it when they did.

You were supposed to stop her.

She was supposed to push you away.

Nor were you supposed to welcome her kiss with your own.

But you have.

And she has.
