Sam peered out the window, counted the seconds. The curtain fell back into place with a sweep of Janet's hand. "Leave her alone," the brunette chided, leading Sam out of the front hall.

"Curfew was ten minutes ago."

"She's just sitting in the driveway."

"With Dominic. What do you think they're doing?"

"Same thing we did?" Janet said, smirking slyly at the blonde.

Sam sighed. "That's what I'm afra-- 'did'?" she asked, interrupting herself. "What do you mean 'did'?"

"Oh," Janet said. "I meant 'will.' Same thing we 'will.'"

Cassie was thirteen minutes late. Sam let it slide.
