Janet spun around, smiling widely. "WHAT did you just say?"

A blush rose from Sam's collar to her hair line, deepening once it could spread no higher. She turned away and headed for the escape of the kitchen door. "I d-didn't say anything..."

Janet put her hands on her hips, blocking Sam. "Honey... I asked if I would see you later today. And you replied..."

Very softly, Sam repeated, "With any luck, I'll get sick."

Janet guffawed and covered her face. "Oh, my God! That has to be the lamest come-on I've ever heard!"

Sam grit her teeth and muttered, "I told Jonas it sucked..."
