Bounding and barking, the dog crossed the backyard in a blur, brushing Sam's lawn chair. The blonde pushed him away, pulling the wand from her bottle of bubbles and blowing another bunch of bubbles.

Behind her, Janet backed out of the house, bearing a big bowl of butterscotch cookies. She smiled when she saw Sam blowing bubbles, like she was a kid again. Bending down, she deposited the snacks on the table and turned to face Sam.

She loved the newfound innocence she saw in Sam. She bent and brushed her lips across the blonde's.

Blown bubbles billowed into the sky.
