"Do you expect me to believe that she wants too much sex and you're complaining about it?"

"She does. And I am. I never thought I'd hear myself saying this but want happened to romance? Dinner and a movie? Miniature golf? God, even broom closets with Cordy had some kind of forbidden love thing involved. But now it's sex, sex, sex all the damn time!"

Buffy listened in wonder to Xander's troubles. "Well, have you tried taking her to somewhere that you can't have sex, like a restaurant?"

"Restaurants have bathrooms, Buffy" he replied, as if this were a ludicrous suggestion.

"Oh, OK, umm….movies equals dark theatre - bad….miniature golf….too many shrubs and obstacles to pop behind….have you considered sex counselling?"

"Me?"

"Both of you" said Buffy. "You might be able to work out why Anya has such a one track mind." Just then the dorm door opened and Willow entered wrapped in a towel. All of a sudden Buffy forgot what she was saying. Willow smiled at her before heading to the dresser and stepping out of her slippers.

"Buffy? You still there?"

"Sorry Xand, still here, what were you saying?"

"I was saying that it's pretty obvious why she's sex mad. It's me. Or haven't you noticed my evolution from weedy schoolboy to macho digging guy?"

"Macho…right…" Buffy was tantalised as Willow finished brushing her wet hair and laid the brush down. She walked to the wardrobe and let her towel fall to the floor. Buffy's breath caught in her throat as she absorbed the perfection that was Willow Rosenberg. Short auburn hair clinging to the back of a neck that made Buffy empathise with vampires. She could suck on it all night long (and had done on several occasions.) Shoulders, so many memories, happy, sad, crying, hugging, sleeping. Narrow shoulders led to strong arms. Not strong in the same way as Buffy's own. No Willow's strength came from within and when she was in those arms Buffy felt like nothing on earth could harm her. Willow's arms were the safest place in the world. Buffy's eyes blazed a trail down the curve of Willow's spine, coming to rest on…

"BUFFY! I hope I'm not boring you with my insignificant little problems or anything?" Xander's voice dripped with sarcasm.

"No, sorry, of course not, I was just a little distracted."

"Oh God, you're as bad as Anya!"

Buffy was unsure what he was referring to but was very insulted nonetheless. "And what's that supposed to mean?"

"Sex on the brain. Unless I'm very much mistaken Ms. Rosenberg has just entered the room and any coherent thoughts you might have had about my predicament have flown out the window."

"How did you…I mean, no, that's not what happened."

"Did Willow come in or not?"

"Yes" said Buffy, grudgingly.

"I rest my case."

"No, no, the case is still very active. I am nothing like Anya!" Willow, now dressed in a nightshirt, looked up at this statement and shook her head vehemently, confirming that Buffy was in fact nothing like Anya.

"No? Well how come you didn't notice that I've been reciting Mary had a little lamb for the past 5 minutes?"

"I told you. I was distracted."

"By lust."

"By love, there's a difference."

"Are you implying that what Anya and I have isn't love?"

"I don't know, is it?"

Willow was very intrigued by the one side of the conversation she was hearing. She had heard the word distracted mentioned on a few occasions and assumed it was referring to her. She decided to have herself a little fun.

"When was the last time you had a conversation with her?" Buffy was saying when she noticed that Willow was approaching her, a dangerous look in her eye. Buffy watched Willow walk to the bed and climb on behind her. Buffy's breath was coming in short, quick gasps as she anticipated Willow's next move. She forced herself to listen to Xander; after all, a Slayer should be able to remain focused at all times.

"Oh, coz I'm sure that you and Willow do nothing but sit around and have intellectually stimulating conversations over coffee."

"Stimulating, definitely" said Buffy, trying to ignore the warm breeze caressing her ear as Willow gently blew across it. She felt her hair being moved to one side to expose her neck. She gasped involuntarily as soft lips made contact with smooth skin. Gentle hands slid down her sides, barely touching them until they came to rest, clasped on her bare midriff. She felt herself being pulled backwards; moulding into the curves that waited there. When teeth lightly nipped her shoulder she couldn't help but mutter "Oh yeah."

"WHAT!?!" Buffy was shaken out of her stupor.

"Sorry, Xand, what were you saying?"

"I was saying 'WHAT!?!' because you just agreed to a foursome with me and Anya."

"I did not!" Buffy was indignant. " I didn't hear what you were saying. I was …"

"Distracted, I know."

Willow had had enough of sharing Buffy's attention with Xander, even if she was getting the lion's share of it. She took the phone out of Buffy's hand and said, in her best secretary voice,

"I'm sorry, Miss Summers is occupied at the moment. In fact she'll be tied up for the next few hours. I'll have her get back to you when she has less on her mind. Thank you for calling." And hung up.

Buffy looked at her. "Tied up?"

"Figure of speech"

"Too bad." She smiled. "Xander won't be happy."

"I think we gave him enough fantasy material for one night. Besides, you looked like you needed a distraction."

"You can distract me any time."

Willow grinned. "Then let's get down to some serious distracting!"

And those were the last words spoken for some time in a certain room in Stevenson Hall. Both occupants were very happily distracted for the rest of the night.

The End
