The door to Buffy's room burst open and two bodies almost fell in. The blonde somehow managed to keep herself and the redhead upright, but what was really impressive was that she did it without breaking the rather heated kiss they were sharing. They made their way to the bed, stumbling a bit as they were still tangled in one another's arms.

"Are you sure your Mom won't be home soon?" asked Willow breathlessly, undoing the buttons on Buffy's shirt.

"Positive, she always works late on Mondays," Buffy said, in between kisses. She had removed Willow's jacket and had moved on to her belt. After removing most of the outer layers of clothing the impatient lovers fell onto the bed. This was mostly because Willow's trousers had become caught around her ankles making upright movement somewhat tricky. But they made the most of their new-found horizontal position. Buffy crawled on top of Willow and kissed a trail from her mouth, down her throat and onto her collarbone. She had just started to remove Willow's red silk bra with her teeth when she heard the door opening…

"Buffy how about Burger King for din…Oh my God!!" Joyce exclaimed at the sight of her scantily clad daughter straddling an even less clad Willow.

"Mom!" Buffy squeaked, grabbing a pillow to cover herself and jumping off the bed, leaving Willow feeling extremely exposed and mortified beyond words. Willow tried to climb under the sheets but was again impeded by the trousers twisted around her ankles and succeeded only in falling off the bed. She decided to remain on the floor for the time being. Buffy was trying desperately to think of something to say. Joyce was avoiding looking at either of them so when she spoke it was directed at the wall.

"Can I see you both in the kitchen please? After you're dressed that is." And with that she closed the door and headed downstairs. Willow peered at Buffy over the edge of the bed.

"I can never be in the same room as your mother again."

"Didn't you hear what she just said? She wants us downstairs now." Buffy said while searching for her elusive shirt.

"I can't Buffy, I'm too embarrassed."

"And I'm not? She's my mother!"

Willow knew deep down that there was no way in hell she was going to be able to avoid the lecture so she reluctantly stood up and got dressed.

In the kitchen Joyce was finishing off a glass of schnapps when they entered. Both girls kept their eyes on the floor and made sure there was at least a foot of air between their bodies at all times.

"OK, obviously this is awkward," said Joyce, Queen of the understatement, "And I know that you've been seeing each other for quite a while now so I didn't really expect you not to be sleeping together," [It was a contest to see who could turn the most red] "But no parent likes to think of their kids having sex, especially when they're still in high school"[Willow was in the lead by miles] "So I'm going to have to ask you to respect my rules and that means no sex under my roof OK?" Both girls nodded meekly, hoping to God that the 'talk' had come to an end. No such luck. "I did think that maybe you'd err on the side of caution Buffy, considering what happened to the last person you…you…"

"Mom," Buffy felt an intervention was called for here. "I really didn't think that Willow was a prime candidate to be under a gypsy curse - and I was right! And we did err on the side of caution, we waited ages before we did it for the first…"

"OK OK I don't need to know the specifics" said Joyce reaching for the schnapps bottle again. "Just remember what I said." The girls took this to mean that their ordeal was over and left the room as quickly as possible.

At the door Buffy and Willow tried to come up with alternative arrangements for their little rendezvous.

"Your place?"

"My grandparents are visiting - both sets - so there's pretty much no privacy in my house at the moment," said Willow apologetically. As a thinking aid they indulged in a little kissing. This did nothing to calm their raging libidos. Willow thought she'd better leave before she ripped Buffy's clothes off right then and there on the doorstep. Plus she didn't want Buffy's mother to catch them at it again. The last thing she wanted was to be the cause of the poor woman becoming an alcoholic.

"I'll think of something" Buffy promised, "I'll come by your house around 8."

"I can't wait" said Willow seductively, kissing Buffy long and hard one last time before leaving.

At 8 o' clock on the dot Willow heard a car horn and looked out of the window to see a smiling Buffy sitting at the wheel of her mother's car. Some of Willow's anticipation died at the prospect of getting into any moving vehicle being driven by Buffy. But she reassured herself with the thought that Sunnydale wasn't large enough to require a long drive to get anywhere. She ran up the path and jumped in the passenger seat. Buffy leaned across to kiss her but Willow dodged it and Buffy ended up with a mouthful of hair.

"Wha…"

"My Grandma's watching from the window - she has a heart condition."

"Oh, OK." Buffy smiled and waved at the old lady. She shifted the gear lever, stepped on the accelerator and the car started moving…backwards.

"Oops!" she said grinning. Willow managed a weak smile while reaching for her seatbelt and grabbing hold of the handgrips.

"How did you convince you mom to give you this after the last time?" asked Willow nervously, after Buffy had managed to manoeuvre the car out of her street, narrowly avoiding three parked cars and a very scared pedestrian.

"No need for convincing. She was asleep so I just left her a note." Buffy made drinking gestures with her hand and rolled her eyes which Willow really wished she'd keep on the road. "Plus, I heard that chicks really dig cars."

"That sounds like something Xander would say." Willow said, closing her eyes as yet another obstacle loomed into view. "Anyway, I'd dig you even if you only had a skateboard."

"Awwww, you're so cute when you flatter me."

Five minutes and many more near misses later, Buffy pulled into a notorious make-out stop. Willow managed to get her breathing and heart rate under control and after a while she even let go of the handles she'd been clinging onto for dear life.

"You look kind of tense Will. Let's see if there's anything I can do about that."

"You really know how to show a girl a good time don't you?"

"Are you complaining?"

"No"

"Good, now c'mere."

For a few blissful minutes they kissed. But very soon their bodies cried out for more contact - the parking brake was really getting in the way. Buffy started to climb over as Willow lowered the reclining seat. Not the height of romance perhaps, but beggars can't be choosers. It was made even less romantic when Buffy got her foot stuck in the spokes of the steering-wheel. In her less than delicate attempts to free it she somehow managed to press the horn. It sent out a blast that startled a number of the occupants of the other cars - leading to a few bitten lips and some other damaged body -parts. When Buffy eventually freed her foot, and after Willow had stopped laughing, they picked up where they had left off that afternoon.

They didn't get very far before a knock on the window broke into their little cocoon of happiness. They looked up to see a grinning Xander signalling for them to wind down the window. With a sigh Willow put the seat back into an upright position while an irate, and very frustrated slayer put the window down.

"Hey guys, fancy meeting you here!"

"Fancy." Buffy muttered. Willow was trying to calm her a little by rubbing her lower back but to no avail.

"Listen, uh, Cordy kind of left me here so I was wondering if I could get a lift home with you?"

"Why'd she leave you here?" asked Willow.

"Oh, you know how touchy she is…and I might have mentioned something about cellulite…"

"I'm amazed that she left you in tact." said Buffy.

"Yeah, me too, and as I was saying a ride would be….oh, wait a minute, did I interrupt you?"

"No Xander, we were here doing our homework." Said Buffy dryly.

"Right, right, well I could uh…I'll wait out here until you're finished." And he turned his back and leaned against the outside of the car, whistling the William Tell overture. As much as they were gagging for it, the thought of getting up to anything with Xander less than a foot away put something of a dampner on the proceedings. A clearly unhappy Buffy climbed off Willow's lap and back into the driver's seat. Willow knocked on the window and told Xander to get in.

The car journey on the way home was a little strange. Buffy didn't speak at all. Willow was slightly relieved at this, it meant that all of her concentration was on the road. Xander seemed oblivious to the fact that as he babbled on about Cordelia's orange peel thighs, the two in the front of the car were plotting his demise.

They dropped Xander off at the earliest opportunity. Then Buffy realised it was time for her to go on patrol. Suddenly her eyes lit up. She had an idea.

Willow eyed Buffy warily as she drew into the school parking lot.

"I thought we were going patrolling?" she asked, knowing Buffy was up to something.

"We are, but I need stakes don't I?" said Buffy, innocently. "We'll just stop by the library and pick some up as I seem to have totally forgotten to bring any."

"Hmmm." was all Willow said.

As they walked through the darkened hallways Willow wrapped an arm around Buffy's waist. Buffy smiled and threw her own arm loosely over Willow's shoulder. It was nice being by themselves for a change. They didn't need to talk, just the closeness was enough.

Reaching the library they found that it was empty. Buffy was pleased, she'd thought that she remembered Giles saying something about watching some musty old documentary on TV that night so her suspicions that she and Willow would have the place to themselves were confirmed. Without switching the lights on Buffy grabbed Willow and carried her to the table where she sat her down and kissed her thoroughly. Willow responded eagerly but started to get a bit worried when she felt Buffy's hand sneak up the front of her T-shirt.

"Mwha…what are you doing?" she asked, pulling away from Buffy's lips and regarding the hand with some alarm.

"Well, I know it's been a while Will but I was hoping you'd remember how to do it!"

"Do it? Here? We can't do it here!!!" Willow was very flustered and tried, without success, to get Buffy's hand to somewhere less…distracting.

"Yes we can, there's no-one here, Giles is at home, it's just the two of us and the moonlight."

"Cheeseball lines aren't going to convince me Buffy," said Willow. "It'd be like doing it in a church or something, I'd feel really weird about it."

Buffy sighed and removed her hand. "Why?"

"Because…because we sit here everyday with everyone else and if we'd done it on this table I'd never be able to look at it without going bright red and…and this is Giles' place, it's like we'd be doing it in his bed or on his couch and…"

"OK" said Buffy, looking around the dimly lit room. She spied something. "How about in the book cage?"

Willow looked at the cage doubtfully. Under normal circumstances she would have nixed this idea too. But the two close encounters of earlier in the day had left her feeling more than a little frustrated. So, without thinking about it too much in case she chickened out, she grabbed Buffy by the front of her shirt and dragged her into the book-cage. Buffy was ecstatic. She had been losing hope during Willow's little rant and didn't think she had much chance of getting any 'quality time'. So when Willow gave up without much of an argument Buffy was willing to go with the flow.

The cage was quite roomy, despite there being stacks of books here and there. Willow pushed Buffy against the wall and kissed her hard on the mouth. She reached down and pulled Buffy's sweater over her head, leaving her in a black satin bra. Willow stood back for a moment, absorbing Buffy's fantastic body - the full breasts, the toned abdominal muscles - and just had to reach out and touch her. She ran her hands down Buffy's sides, enjoying the shiver she felt go through the slayer. Her hands came to rest on the waistband of Buffy's jeans. She began unbuttoning them as Buffy feathered little kisses onto her neck. Kissing her once on the mouth, Willow kneeled down in front of Buffy, slowly pulling down her jeans over her hips.

At that precise moment in time the lights went up and illuminated the entire room. Willow sprang up, her head connecting with Buffy's chin. That coupled with the neither up nor down trousers inevitably resulted in Buffy lying on the floor.

"Cordelia, I do hope you haven't dragged me away from a very informative evening's viewing to do your homework for you."

"Not do it…although, if you wanted to…"

"I most certainly do not want to. I'll help you find the books you need and then you must go home and try working for a change!"

"I do work! It's just that I've had a lot on with the cheerleaders and stuff, plus all the help I give you bozos on this demon-fighting thing you seem to get your kicks from…you'd think you'd be a little more appreciative of my help."

Giles sighed. "Yes Cordelia, we are all eternally in your debt. Now, what is the essay title again?"

While Cordelia was explaining some history question to Giles, Willow was having a minor stroke in the book-cage. She was trying to get Buffy upright and fully dressed before they were discovered. Buffy, for her part, managed to get her trousers up and almost fastened before Giles walked past on his way to the stacks and did a double take.

"My word! What are you two doing in there?" Then, upon observing Buffy's state of undress and Willow's obvious embarrassment he put two and two together and was very shocked at the outcome. Cordelia of course could not help but come for a look.

"Well Giles, if you don't know what they were doing I think it's about time someone told you about the birds and the bees." said Cordelia, giving Buffy and Willow a knowing look.

"We…we…just came by to get some weapons." stammered Willow.

"Weapons? I didn't think you'd be into that sort of stuff Willow, never had you pegged for an S&M freak!" Cordelia was enjoying this immensely.

"For patrol," said Buffy, seeing that Willow was beyond speech. She had her sweater back on and wanted out of there as quickly as possible. "And we have them now so…goodbye." She grabbed Willow's hand and pulled her along as she walked briskly past an open mouthed Giles to the door.

"Don't forget the safety word Willow!" shouted Cordelia.

On patrol Willow was very quiet. Buffy thought it was best not to say anything just yet. She was probably still in shock. There was very little in the way of vamp action. A couple of newbies in the cemetery but nothing too taxing. Buffy was disappointed. She'd hoped that she'd get a good workout slaying, as any other outlet of her emotions was looking less and less likely. They sat silently on a bench in the graveyard for a while before Willow realised that she was cold. She moved nearer to Buffy and snuggled into her for warmth. Buffy took this as a sign she was forgiven. She leaned over and placed a tiny kiss on Willow's cheek by way of an experiment. Sensing no resistance she moved down to her lips. The kissing continued for quite some time. The day's mishaps were forgotten as they became lost in each other. Able to stand it no longer Willow broke their kiss and looked around for a secluded spot…desperate times call for desperate measures after all. Spotting a large crypt she stood and pulled Buffy up with her. They headed over to in hand in hand. Behind the crypt the ground was flat and dry.

"Are you sure about this?" asked Buffy, hoping the answer was yes.

"I'm sure." Wasting no time Willow got Buffy onto the ground and straddled her thighs. Encouraged by the desire she saw burning in Buffy's eyes she leaned down and attacked her lips again. Approximately five seconds later the lovers heard a rustling of grass followed by a swoosh of air. And then a loud exclamation.

"Jesus Red!" They turned to see a stake, frozen about half an inch from Willow's back. The other end of the stake was attached to Faith's hand. The dark slayer stumbled back and dropped the stake.

"What the hell are you doing?" screamed Buffy, still pinned under a catatonic Willow.

"What the hell am I doing? What about you two? I thought she was frickin' feeding off you B!!" said Faith, visibly shaken. She collected herself quickly, slipping into her normal wise-ass mode. "Although if I'd come along much later there woulda been some kind of eating goin' on!"

"Faith!" Buffy never knew quite how to respond to her counterpart's crude sexual comments.

"What? I'm just surprised is all. I had you two down for the candles and slow music kinda lovin'" said Faith grinning. "Hell, even I don't get down and dirty in graveyards."

Buffy managed to stand up, bringing Willow with her, she was beginning to get over nearly being skewered by a piece of wood.

"There was no 'down and dirty' here."

"Oh no? You look pretty dirty from where I'm standing." said Faith, slapping Buffy's behind which was covered in grass and soil. Willow put a territorial hand on Buffy's rear end. Faith noticed this and laughed.

"Hey Red don't worry, I'm not movin' in on your girl. I don't swing that way." Buffy and Willow both looked at her with raised eyebrows. "Why is everyone so surprised by that? I get propositions from girls all the time."

"Maybe it's because you're so…so…" Willow didn't know quite how to finish the sentence. Buffy decided to help her out.

"Sexual?" Faith considered this.

"Yeah, I suppose, but I like something to hold onto when I'm in bed, if you know what I mean." They did, only too well. "But hey, I'm all for equal opportunities, boink who you want to boink, that's my philosophy."

Willow cringed at the blunt way Faith put things. "Could you not use that word Faith?" she asked, politely.

"What, you'd prefer me to say fu…"

"Boink will do nicely," said Buffy.

Faith smiled. "So, you two lust-bunnies are havin' trouble findin' a bed huh?" Reluctantly they both nodded. Faith reached into her pocket and brought out a key. "Here, I'm going to the Bronze for a while - got some pent up energy to work off. Why don't you work yours off in my room?"

Buffy and Willow looked at each other. It only took a second for them to decide. Buffy reached out and took the key.

"Thanks Faith, we really appreciate it."

"No big. Guess I owe you for almost making a kebab out of your girlfriend. Just change the sheets when you're done."

"Sure thing." And they almost ran off in the direction of Faith's sleazy motel.

Faith watched them go. "I hope the landlord doesn't come by lookin' for the rent!" She chuckled at this thought and headed off in search of a young stud to use and abuse for the night.

The End
